Halloween treats!

I made rice krispy treats this week, and just found out that they are Rob's fav!  Even though we have been together a long time, I am still learning new things!  Cole loved the M&M's the best!  He is loving the Halloween decorations in our neighborhood - pumpkins, ghosts and spiders are his new favorite words!

Grandma Grey visits and Cole's new ride!

This past week Grandma Grey came to visit!  You would never know that she is in her 80's!  Wow!  They had a great time at the racino, and the kids loved her!  Cole also got a new 4-wheeler since he is too big for the old one!  It can go 2.5 or 5 mph and it has a turbo boost!  He is getting really good driving it!  I can't believe my 2 year old is riding such a big machine!  What's next?

Dave visits, and Allie is 3 months old!

We have had a lot of visitors in the last few months - busy busy!  We had a wonderful time when Dave came a few weeks ago.  It was so nice to see him- and we all even got a long run in for our marathon training!  We love you Dave!

sweet kids

I try to take pictures of Allie like I did of Cole, but I don't think she will have near as many!  Here are a few new ones, Allie will be 3 months old on the 4th!

Cole's birthday!

We had a few celebrations for Cole's 2nd birthday!  One on his real birthday, the 18th with our family and Grammie - I made Cole's favorite dinner - steak on the grill and steamed fresh broccoli.  What a kid!  I made him his cake with a number two which he is really good a shouting when you ask him how old he is, it is too funny!  Allie got a taste of frosting too!  Then, we had his birthday party at Liberty Ridge Farm- a pumpkin farm, where he had his first brithday.  It is a really fun place, lots to do, so the adults don't get bored too.  He had a great time, and my parents and grandparents came up too!  I can't believe that my baby boy is 2!!

Cole's school!

Cole started daycare on monday, which we call "play school" since his favorite TV character Caillou goes to playschool too.  He did great!  Although, he didn't eat lunch - only a snack.  I asked him what he ate at school and he said "fishies".  He didn't cry when I left, put of course I did when I got to the car!  I only called twice during the day!  He says he wants to go back, so all in all, it was a great day!  He had class pictures and they are very structured - they learn things everyday, so he will really be ready for real school in a few years.   He is only going 2 days a week when I work, so it will be good for him!  He loves his new backpack with his name on it and he managed to sneak a baseball in there when I wasn't looking!  What a boy!

Labor day!

We traveled to Oswego for Labor day weekend and had a great time with my parents, grandparents and Nate.  We ate at Rudy's, kayaked on the lake, threw rocks and had a campfire.  Wonderful!

Lake Placid

Rob took the day off on friday and we took off to Lake Placid for the day.  We love it up there,  it is so beautiful!  We had to take a picture with Rob and Allie along the way,  we have one with Rob and Cole when he was a little one too.   It is in a frame in Cole's room and he loves it!  It was a nice, relaxing family day!

Allie is 2 months old!

On September 4th, Allison was 2 months old!  She is really smiling now and has been doing a million times better after switching her to Similac Alimentum.  Life is really busy with 2 kids, but we love it!

6th anniversary!

August 23rd 2003 was our wedding date!  It is hard to believe that was 6 years ago!  Rob and I celebrated my hiking Buck mountain near Lake George and then having dinner in a cafe overlooking the lake!  It was wonderful to reconnect like that- we almost felt like we didn't have any kids!

6 weeks old!

Allison is 6 weeks old and weighs 11 lbs and is 23 inches long!  She is getting so big, and smiling more every day!!

More bathing kids!

I just love freshly washed children!!  Soooo cute!

My 29th birthday!

On August 17th, I turned 29!  It was a great day, Rob and I got to go on a date to Siro's - a restaurant only open during track season.  WE have to get dressed up and I hoped to see someone famous, but since it was a monday night- no such luck!  Bobby Flay goes regularly, so you know its good!  Wow, look at our living room - we definetly have kids!  My last year in my twenties- yikes!

Allie is 1 month!

On August 4th, Allie turned one month old!  She was 22 inches and 10 lbs 5 oz!  What a chunker!  If only we could get rid of the nasty colic that has begun!    She really is beautiful when she smiles!  WE love her so much!

morning at the horse track

A few weekends ago we got up early and went with Grammie and Aunt Linda and Uncle Bruce who were visiting to the Saratoga Race track to watch the horses excercise.  It is really great to watch them at this time, before the track is really open.  They have brunch on the porch, tram tours of the backstretch, or you can bring your own food and just walk around and watch the horses and jockeys everywhere.  It really is nice and relaxing.  Cole loved watching all the horses and we were up for the day anyway!!  What a nice saturday morning!

naked boy!

It has been very hot and muggy latley so I let Cole strip down and play in the water in his baby pool.  He loved it and I just laughed - kids are so cute in just their diapers!

baby gym

Allie loves her baby gym just as much as Cole did, she even smiles at the star too!  I can't believe how fast they go from newborn to baby!!!  Cole loves to get right in there with her and poke her and give kisses!

Harborfest 2009

I realize I have been a little slow in updating the blog - for obvious reasons - so here is a few shots of our trek to Harborfest this year.  We have not been in about 6 or 7 years, so I really wanted to go see fireworks, since we missed them on Allie's Birth-Day.  It was fun- we got to see Jim, Keri, Carter and Gavin and the Conways which is always so fun!  My parents and grandparents loved to hang out with the kiddos and the fireworks did not disappoint!!  Cole also had his first snowcone - yum!

Stampcrete Patio!

Finally our patio is finished!!  They started the week before Allison was born, and it only took them a week.  Considering all the rain we had, they did a great job!!  We are really enjoying having a place to hang out outside!  Patio party soon to come!
